Map #2: Like a Broken-Down Dam


Two ideas stuck with me for most of the development cycle of Fly From Montgomery. I wanted to make a heist scenario in which the PCs were doing good while still serving themselves: robbing the rich to feed the pilots. I also wanted to make a scenario where the same map could serve two different sitreps back to back.

The second combat (Like a Broken-Down Dam) makes good on that second goal. Having seized the depot in the first encounter (a Control sitrep), the PCs must now protect it against another band of scavengers (a Holdout sitrep).

If you took a peek at the first map in the previous devlog, you'll recognize this one. I've cleaned up some of the rubble and moved some of the trucks around. The PCs have a pretty defensible position in the center of the depot complex. But it's not hard to spot gaps that agile or clever hostiles can slip through. The scattered deployment zones create several overlapping lanes of fire.
